When I started creating this custom giant Ring Pop candy shape mold, I wasn’t just focused on recreating a familiar candy shape. What mattered to me was the feeling behind it. Ring Pop is a clear symbol of childhood and pop culture—bold colors, simple forms, and a sense of playful joy. It represents a time when happiness came from small, uncomplicated things.
By enlarging the Ring Pop into a giant scale, it stops being candy and becomes a sculptural object. To me, this shift in scale is where nostalgia really begins. A familiar object placed out of its normal context turns into a memory you can see and feel, rather than something purely functional.

While developing this mold, I carefully adjusted the proportions, curves, and surface details to keep the retro spirit intact, while making it suitable for resin art and wall art. My goal wasn’t to make a “bigger candy,” but to create a form that fits naturally into dopamine decor—bright, joyful, and intentionally a little excessive.
For me, nostalgia in the Giant Ring Pop isn’t about longing for the past. It’s about revisiting a positive memory and giving it a physical presence. Through this mold, I wanted to turn a shared childhood symbol into something you can display, interact with, and live with in a modern space.
