1. Wash the mold with mild soap, rinse and dry completely before first use.

2. Mix your resin, plaster, Jesmonite, wax or soap base according to that material's own ratio and instructions.

3. Pour slowly into the lowest point of the ring and let the material travel around the cavity. This avoids trapped air in the curved wall.

4. Cure on a level surface for the time your material specifies.

5. Flex the outer wall of the mold outward, then push up from underneath to release the cast.

6. Wash, air dry, and store the mold flat, away from direct sunlight.

What size resin piece does this mold make? This mold is sold in two sizes, named after the finished piece. The 4 inch option produces a Lifesavers candy measuring 4 × 4 × 1 inch (10.2 × 10.2 × 2.5 cm). The 8 inch option produces a Lifesavers candy measuring 8 × 8 × 2 inch (20.3 × 20.3 × 5 cm). What can I cast in this mold? The mold takes epoxy resin, plaster, Jesmonite, candle wax and soap. It is cast in 20A platinum-cure silicone, mixed 1:1 A/B and vacuum degassed so the casting surface stays free of bubbles. At 20A the silicone stays soft enough to flex open by hand. The silicone manufacturer specifies a temperature range of -60°C to 250°C (-76°F to 482°F).

How long does it take to ship? Orders are processed in 2–4 days before shipping. Economy international shipping then takes 13–23 business days. You receive a tracking code once the parcel leaves the workshop, and tracking usually becomes active after about 3 days. Shipping cost is already included in the listed price.
